Furthermore, no two stones are the same as they are hand-cut and made in extremely limited batches, making them one-of-a-kind pieces.

With a hardness rating of 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale, Tourmaline is a durable choice for everyday wear. Compared to other gemstones it is fairly tough and cannot be scratched easily. If your gemstone does scratches easily, it's likely not Tourmaline. Interestingly, Tourmaline can be scratched by stones which are harder on the Mohs Scale, such as Diamonds and Sapphires. Storing your Tourmaline jewellery with proper care will keep the gemstone from being scratched by harder stones.
Unlike other semi-precious gemstones, Tourmaline often showcases natural inclusions. If your stone appears flawless, it might not be genuine.
